OUR LEGACY

History & Heritage

Government Polytechnic Gaya was established in 1960 with the vision of providing quality technical education to the youth of Bihar. Over the past six decades, the institution has grown into one of the premier polytechnic colleges in the state.

Starting with just two departments and 120 students, we have expanded to six departments serving over 1200 students. Our alumni have made significant contributions to various industries and continue to make us proud with their achievements.

The college operates under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Bihar, and is affiliated with the State Board of Technical Education (SBTE), Bihar. All our programs are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
