Admission Process Overview
Admission to all diploma courses at Government Polytechnic Gaya is made through the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE) conducted by BCECE Board, Government of Bihar. The admission process is transparent and merit-based.
Note: Admissions are made only in the odd semester (July-August) of each academic session. Total intake capacity varies by department (60 seats per branch).

BCECE Entrance Exam
Register and appear for the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE) conducted by BCECE Board, Government of Bihar.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- •Passed 10th standard (Matriculation) or equivalent examination
- •Minimum 35% marks in aggregate for General/OBC candidates
- •Minimum 32% marks for SC/ST candidates
- •Mathematics and Science as compulsory subjects
Age Limit
- •Minimum age: 14 years as on December 31st of admission year
- •Maximum age: No upper age limit
- •Age relaxation as per government norms for reserved categories
Domicile
- •Candidate should be a domicile of Bihar state
- •Non-domicile candidates may apply under All India Quota (limited seats)
- •Valid domicile certificate required at the time of admission
