Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited and banned inside and outside the campus. Government Polytechnic Gaya maintains a ragging-free environment for all students.

What Constitutes Ragging?

Definition: Any conduct by a student, whether by words spoken or written or by an act which includes:

  • Physical abuse, lewd acts, teasing, rough or rude treatment causing physical or psychological harm
  • Indulging in rowdy, undisciplined and obscene activities which causes annoyance or mental trauma
  • Forcing a student to do any act which they are not willing to do and causes shame, embarrassment or danger
  • Any act that adversely affects the physique or psyche of a fresher or junior student

Important: The Supreme Court of India has defined ragging as a criminal offense. No leniency is shown to offenders.
